Her foster father teaches her to read and she develops a love for reading that helps her deal with the chaos around her.
Review: I personally, really enjoyed reading this book. It has a very mysterious and paging turning plot that made me wanting to keep on reading more. This book was a little emotional since it started a little sad but then becomes more hopeful. This book is a must read for any teen who loves to learn about history and how things used to be during this time.
