Plot: Sixteen-year-old girl Katniss Everdeen lives with her mother and sister, struggling to survive in the impoverished District 12. Every year the Capital of Panem hosts the Hunger Games, where one boy and girl from each district, aged 12-18, gets chosen to participate in a fight to the death for entertainment purposes. Katniss's younger sister, Primrose gets picked, however, Katniss decides to volunteer herself instead. Along with her fellow tribute, Peeta, the two go through many obstacles in the games, fighting to overcome the wealthier and more experienced tributes. During their time in the Games, the two grow to love each other, however, they know at the end, only one tribute can survive.

Review: I personally loved the book and thought it to be very exciting and action-packed. Her journey was captivating and I could not put down the book, since there was so much suspense. You really grow to love the characters and cheer them on, hoping that they win the Games and beat the other tributes. I loved the ending and after reading this book I would recommend it to any teenager who loves books full of action, romance, and drama.
