It may be cold out there, but things are heating up here!
Our Winter Reading Challenge is up and running. Raffle ticket buckets are filling up and candybars are flying out the door with our lucky patrons who have completed 3 or more bingos.
Saturday, February 1 kicks off our Children’s Author Extravaganza. We’ll have a local illustrator, Tom Duffy, hosting a workshop and drawing caricatures from 10-12pm, special guest author, Jackie Azua Kramer, reading her children’s book, Manolo & the Unicorn, along with book signings, a handful of local authors in the Children’s Room promoting and selling their books, big games, and a community writing project with the Friends of the Library.
We’ll also be celebrating the Lunar New Year with crafts in the Children Room, the Super Bowl with Lego, and Valentine’s Day with crafts, stories, and candle making.
Don’t know what to do with the kids during Winter Break? The library has plenty to keep them busy for you. We’ll have chess, painting, hula hooping, take home cookie kits, and a room filled with toys and laughter.
Come out of the cold today and see what the library has to offer you!
